Happy Valentine's Day from Onward & Upward!
Valentine's Day is a special day to give us a chance to tell each other "I love you". Sometimes we don't take the time to say that enough! It's a day to celebrate romance, and those close to our hearts. (It's also a day to enjoy flowers and candy. :-) Hehe)
And now, one of my favorite romantic verses from the Bible (I guess I identify with having to wait for a loved one!):
"So Jacob served seven years to get Rachel, but they seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her." Genesis 29:20Some 1 Corinthians 13 always seems appropriate:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8aAnd the greatest Love Story of all:
"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13We hope you all have a wonderful day, whether you are spending it with a loved one, family, or friends!
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
"As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you." Isaiah 62:5b
"In Your unfailing love You will lead the people You have redeemed. In Your strength You will guide them to Your holy dwelling." Exodus 15:13
