Happy Birthday, Beth!!

Break out the balloons and streamers, we're CELEBRATING here at Onward & Upward!!!

Today is Beth's birthday!!

*throws confetti into the air*

Please join the party! We're having cake and ice cream, and everyone gets to wear fun party hats. We're all dressing up like princesses, and Beth gets to wear a special tiara. What more could a girl want for her birthday?? Okay, that's the fun thing about blogs - we can pretend we're having a 6-year-old's "Princess Party" without actually having to do it. ;-)

So, put on your party hat, have a piece of cake, and let's giggle and chat before we begin fun party games! (I know, we just had a party 3 weeks ago, but whatever - it's Beth's birthday, which is a special occasion!)

Be sure to leave lots of comments wishing Beth a happy birthday and let her know how loved she is! :-)

    Happy birthday to my namesake...
    Happy birthday to you!

By the way, does namesake mean I was named for you or you for me?

Well according to Merriam Webster, "namesake" can mean either.

    Two things:
    1) You don't actually have the same name. You're Elizabeth, and she is Elisabeth.
    2) Since you are almost 7 months older than her, I'll say if anything she is named after you. Of course that doesn't make her any less special. Because she DOES spell her name with an S, and that's pretty cool. :-)

So am I her namesake? Except that for creative purposes her parents decided to go with the "S" approach?

A very "Happy Birthday" to you, Beth! I hope it is one of your best years yet.

I am looking forward to your next post in the "working wives" series.

Thanks for alerting us, Ashley. :)

You guys crack me up. Thanks for all the birthday wishes! I think the "S" is pretty cool, too, but it means my name is misspelled all the time!

    They say its your birthday
nah nah nah nah nah nah
    Its my birthday too yeah
nah nah nah nah nah nah

Well it isn't really my birthday too but we always sing this song to the kids when they wake up on their big day.

Hope it is a great one, you youngin' you!!! May God favorably bless the next year of your life like never before.

So, I missed this; I haven't been on blogs much lately. But I can still say 'Happy Birthday', can't I?? :-)
