But they sound like something I would have enjoyed (after doing a quick Google search and reading a bit about them)! I really loved the Enid Blyton books we had, though I haven't read any since I was a girl.ashleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10982050095869237882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31282173.post-17692172904253818682007-03-14T16:31:00.000-05:002007-03-14T16:31:00.000-05:00I thought the Anne of Green Gables movie was a pre...I thought the Anne of Green Gables movie was a pretty good depiction of the book (compared to some movies out there!). Of course, the delight of Anne comes with LM Montgomery's beautiful style of writing, which is impossible to capture in a movie! I would heartily recommend the book!

Anne of Green Gables was the very first book report I ever wrote - when I was 6. It was also the last book report I did my senior year of high school. :-) The latter was fun because I had to look at Anne critically through the eyes of an adult. I served raspberry cordial to my class and got an A on my report. :-)ashleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10982050095869237882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31282173.post-30500569260946303492007-03-14T10:40:00.000-05:002007-03-14T10:40:00.000-05:00it was fun to read your answers! :)I didn't meet A...it was fun to read your answers! :)

I didn't meet Anne of Green Gables till I was a senior in college--and then it was only in video form.

It looks like I need to get my hands on copies of the books.

Happy Wednesday! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31282173.post-13343394532763689072007-03-13T21:30:00.000-05:002007-03-13T21:30:00.000-05:00:) Fun. I used to read them over and over when I was younger. And I was a big fan of Enid Blyton too. On the mission field, one of the single ladies would read the Faraway Tree books to us MKs. It was great fun.twiga92https://www.blogger.com/profile/16751327144782362475noreply@blogger.com
